He has strong skills in operations, negotiations, marketing and franchise relations. Russell Percival was born and bred Australian with a passion for people, business and sailing. His formative years were spent in Perth, Western Australia where he completed a Degree in Industrial Arts and also graduated as a Teacher in 1976 before forging a successful career as an Entrepreneur. After building many smaller businesses and numerous property transactions he went on to build large companies in Canada and Australia. He enjoys working with people with a passion for growth and achievement and assisting their growth through implementation of quality systems and processes and negotiating strategic acquisitions that enable success at both local and global levels. In 1995 Russell Percival moved to Canada to open the chain of Cash Converter stores with his enthusiasm and knowledge gaining rapid acceptance and seeing rapid expansion across Canada. Russell opened of 65 stores, in the first 4 years in Canada growing to an $80 million dollar turnover and employing over 500 people. Russell then returned to Australia were he commenced a private lending business which then joined forces with Paul Hare and they developed Asset Loan Co Pty Ltd which grew to became listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on November 11th 2004. He is still an Executive Director of Asset Loans Ltd . Russell Percival was both a Canadian and Australian member of the Chamber of Commerce, is a strong supporter of his local Rotary Club in Broadbeach and enjoys yachting, and water sports. The Broadbeach Rotary Club has Awarded Russell for his work as a business mentor and a team sponsor to the Merrimac State High school, ABW Enterprise Education. Russell Percival has achieved this award three years in succession as he coached and mentored high school students in a computer simulation that modelled the building and marketing of a chain of hotels.
