Asset Loan Co is led by former CEO of Cash Converters in the United Kingdom, Paul Hare.

Much of Paul Hare’s extensive business experience was achieved in the alternate finance industry through his role as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cash Converters in the UK. He had eight (8) years in the micro lending industry in the USA, England and Australia, and he led the introduction of micro-lending into Australia.
Cash Converters UK, run by Paul Hare, was such a success that Cash Converters International was able to list on the UK stock exchange, eventually buying back the UK licence.

With Cash Converters UK growing to over 100 franchises, Paul undertook the role of director of Europe operations for Cash Converters with the role to transplant the UK model to Europe through training and guidance of the franchisors and sub franchisors. Paul’s successful growth and overall exceptional management was the catalyst for Cash Converters growth internationally. Paul Hare's franchise growth was such that it enabled Cash Converters Australia, the parent company, to list on the London Stock Exchange.

Paul Hare successfully changed the face of pawn broking in the UK through Cash Converters. Paul’s introduction of a re-purchase agreement enabled pawn shops to shorten the hold period of items used for security for loans.

He introduced cheque cashing, pay day advances into Australia, through a chain of 63 stores across Australia.  The roll out was exceptionally fast with the majority opening in a 15 month period. Paul is expanding the Spot Loan, personal loan business to 100 branches across Australia.

Paul was the founder of the Asset Loan brand in 2000. Paul Hare and Russell Percival joined forces in 2002 taking the company to a public listing on the ASX in November 11, 2004. Paul Hare believes that he can make a difference, and he has a passion for making things happen at Asset Loan Company.

The experience that Paul Hare gained in Europe and the United States was invaluable and it was able to provide him with an insight into the market demand for finance, which could be provided with little risk to the finance provider, as it was based on the maximum level of security available. It was on this basis that the business concept, Asset Loan Group was developed.
